For job seekers

Candidate FAQ

Straight answers to the questions candidates actually ask us — including the awkward ones.

Does it cost anything to work with TechKnow Global?

No. Job seekers never pay us. Our fees are paid by the employers who hire through us. If any recruiter — us or anyone else — asks you to pay for placement, training or equipment, it is a scam.

What is the difference between a W2 contract and corp-to-corp?

On a W2 contract you are our employee: we withhold taxes, pay the employer share and can offer benefits. Corp-to-corp means you have your own incorporated entity that we contract with, so you handle your own taxes and insurance. C2C usually carries a higher hourly rate to offset that.

Will you send my resume out without telling me?

Never. We ask for your explicit approval for each specific submission, and we tell you the company name before you agree. This is standard practice at good agencies and depressingly rare at bad ones.

What if I am already interviewing somewhere through another agency?

Tell us. Duplicate submissions to the same client cause ownership disputes that can cost you the job outright. We would rather know and route you elsewhere.

Do you work with candidates who need visa sponsorship?

We ask about work authorization up front so we do not waste your time. Sponsorship depends entirely on the individual client, and we will tell you plainly which roles are open to it and which are not.

How long will you keep my resume on file?

We retain candidate data only as long as it is useful for placing you, and you can ask us to delete it at any time. See our applicant privacy notice for the detail and how to make that request.

I have not heard back. What does that mean?

It should never mean silence. If you have submitted a resume and heard nothing within five business days, email us and we will give you a straight answer.

Question not answered here?

Ask us directly. We would rather answer than have you guess.
