Who is the legal employer of a contract worker?
We are. TechKnow Global handles the employment relationship, payroll, tax withholding, workers compensation and I-9 verification. You direct the day-to-day work. This structure is what keeps co-employment risk manageable, and we document the boundaries in the engagement agreement.
What is the minimum contract length?
We take engagements from four weeks upward. Shorter assignments are possible but the setup cost rarely makes sense for either side, and we will say so rather than take the booking.
How is contract staffing priced?
A bill rate covering the worker pay rate plus a markup for employer taxes, insurance, benefits and our margin. We quote the markup percentage openly so you can see exactly what you are paying for.
