Contract-to-Hire

Contract-to-hire places a professional on a temporary contract with an agreed option to convert them to your permanent payroll, typically after three to six months. It lets both sides evaluate the fit on real work before committing, which materially reduces mis-hire cost.

Roles we fill

  • Senior engineering hires where fit is hard to interview for
  • First hires into a newly formed team
  • Roles with an uncertain long-term budget

Where we use contract-to-hire

Contract-to-Hire questions, answered

Is there a conversion fee?

Conversion terms are agreed before the assignment starts. Typically the fee reduces the longer the contractor works with you, and reaches zero after an agreed period. You will never be surprised by a conversion invoice.

How long is a typical contract-to-hire period?

Three to six months. Long enough to see real delivery across a full project cycle, short enough that a strong candidate does not walk away for a permanent offer elsewhere.

Do candidates accept contract-to-hire roles?

Good ones do when the conversion intent is genuine and written down. Candidates are wary of open-ended contracts dressed up as permanent opportunities, so we only run these engagements when you have real budget to convert.
